Share The Wealth – Have you created phrases for your system? Did you know you can share your phrases with the rest of the ChiroWrite community? Phrases are easily shared from the Administration > WorxPhrase menu. Simply click on the phrase and click the “Share Selected” button. Sharing phrases will allow other DC’s to download your phrases into their ChiroWrite system and you can download phrases that have been shared by other DC’s. We hope every DC will take advantage of the opportunity to help a colleague and share what they have created. If you would like to share but are not certain how, please contact us and we will help you get started.
SOAP/Exam More Integrated – Back in version 1.7.0.0, ChiroWrite became more integrated in the objective areas in the cervical, thoracic, lumbar, sacrum and pelvic sections. ChiroWrite has taken this integration further by incorporating the shoulder, elbow, wrist, knee and foot as well.
SOAP/Exam Interconnected – Functionality has been added to better connect information between the SOAP note and the exam. If ROM information has changed, place it into the ROM sections provided to you in the worxflow and that information can be printed into the SOAP note using the SOAP note with exam report.
Sentence Structure – Functionality has been added to the reporting section of ChiroWrite. Various pieces of information have been grouped together to allow for better sentence structure as you can see in the image below. You can always get to and run the original old style reports just be checking the include version 1 SOAP/Exam reports, if you need to.
Multi Patients – You now have the ability to have multiple patient files open at once in ChiroWrite. Below, different colored tabs can be seen to denote different patient files. This can be setup by going to Administration > System Configuration > Defaults > Global 4 tab and checking the Allow multiple patients to be open at the same time check box.
Single Close Option – You have the option to choose a different close option in ChiroWrite; if you are using the multi patient option. The first screen shot is an image of what the screen normally would look like. The close button for the patient file is on the tab itself. In the second screen shot the close button is taken away from the tab and placed in the right hand corner of the screen. So there are two options for positioning of the close button for the patient file, choose which one you like.
Highlight Worxflow – Functionality has been added to highlight places in the worxflow where information has been added to create the SOAP note or exam narrative. ChiroWrite will let you know at a glance, there is information in areas of the SOAP note or exam by highlighting the section in green. Areas will be highlighted as you are going through the information so you know where you have been. This will happen moving forward and will not affect anything in the past.
Miscellaneous Notes – You now have the ability to create notes that will be associated with printing the case or file for a patient. For instance, if you have a patient that has missed an appointment and it needs to be documented as part of the chronological order of the notes, then you can do this. Navigate to a patient’s file, click on the doctor’s bag and choose the New Misc. Note or Edit Misc. Note depending on what you are trying to do. Anything that shows up blue is a Miscellaneous Note that will be printing with any SOAP notes when a range is chosen and can be printed by itself.
Treating Provider – Functionality has been added to allow the assigned provider to be the treating provider for the note that day. If the logged in feature has been selected, then the treating provider will be the doctor that is logged in completing the note. Setup is completed by going to Administration > System Configuration > Defaults > Global 4 tab and checking either of the assigned provider selections below. If using the logged in feature, you must have different user names and passwords to log in with; to create user names and passwords go to Administration > Employees and be sure to choose the provider in the bottom drop down.
Change Report Name/Template – You now have the ability to make changes to report names and templates. Navigate to Administration > Reports > Report Configuration and click the report and the edit button to begin making changes. The report title is what is printing as the header of the report and the template file allows you to make changes like headers, footers or even letterhead. The report template needs to be in C:\Softworx Solutions\ChiroWrite\highest numbered folder\reports if using Windows 7, C:\Users\Public\Program Files\Softworx Solutions\ChiroWrite\highest numbered folder\reports if using Vista and C:\Softworx Solutions\ChiroWrite\highest numbered folder\reports or C:\Program Files\Softworx Solutions\ChiroWrite\highest numbered folder\reports if using Windows XP. Custom Buttons – You now have the ability to copy, paste, delete or drag and drop buttons to another location on the screen. This will make setting up the buttons section of your worxflow much easier. Remember to configure buttons, navigate to Administration > Custom Screens. There are SOAP Custom screens for your SOAP Notes and Exam Custom screens for your exam. Copy and paste works for the buttons on the same screen. Delete works but clicking a button and clicking the remove button on that screen. Drag and drop works by clicking and holding the button while moving the mouse to the new button location.
Copy Another Case – Functionality has been added to allow case information to be copied from one case to another. This can be accomplished by navigating to the case you wish to make changes to; navigate to the Doctor’s Bag > select the case you wish to edit > click the edit case button. Using the Copy Other Case button, you can choose which case you would like to copy information from. Information to be copied includes everything the case area so use wisely.
Print By Case – Functionality has been added to allow SOAP notes for a single type of case to be printed based on a date range. If you need to print all the PI SOAP notes for the week, you can do this be going to Office Activities > Reports and choose your reporting options similar to the ones chosen below to print out the information. Keep in mind that printing will also include miscellaneous notes that have been created.
Default Pen Color and Width – Functionality has been added to allow doctors to default the pen color and width of their drawing pages. For instance, the summary screen that controls the image on the travel card the pen can now have a different default color and pen width. By navigating to Administration > System Configuration > Defaults > Misc you can select a width default and pen color default.
Worxphrase Symbols – Functionality has been added to allow worxphrase symbols to be used in the narrative introduction, narrative ending and prognosis sections. Now when using the category buttons you will be able to have ChiroWrite ask you for additional information based on what you are trying to say. Navigate to Administration > Narratives to begin your customization.
Charge Order – You now have the ability to set ChiroWrite to order the charges you choose. You can have this be in numerical order according to code or in the order that charges were entered into the system. Setup is controlled by navigating to Administration > System Configuration > Defaults > Global 2 under Order Changes.
Exported Charges – You will now be able to see what charges have been exported for the day by running a quick report. Navigating to Office Activities > Show Daily Visits and anything highlighted in green means that they have been exported.
Care Plan Sentence Opening – Functionality has been added to allow you the ability to tell ChiroWrite that you do not want to print the opening sentence about the patient being evaluated for a care plan for all patients instead of patient by patient as was the case previously. Setup can be completed by going to Administration > System Configuration > Defaults > Global 4 tab and checking Do NOT print SOAP opening sentence about patient being evaluated for care plan for all patients.
Subluxation Order – You now have the ability to view subluxation/joint dysfunction items in the first part of the list if they have been selected. Navigate to Administration > System Configuration > Defaults > Global 4 and check Show subluxation/joint dysfunction items first in the list. When you come to the subluxation screen any selected areas will show up first at the top of the screen to lighten the need for scrolling.
Accident vs. Collision – You now have the ability to choose accident or collision as the descriptive word that is used in the accident description section of the narratives. Your choice can be made Administration > System Configuration > Defaults > Global 4 tab and checking either Accident or Collision. If you have already created the paragraph for the accident description in the case information you must re-enter the accident description area and re-generate the information using the new selection.
Visit Dates – You now have the ability to more easily view the dates your patient has been in to see you. On the travel card, click on Visit Dates button and you will be presented with the calendar below which has been highlighted for easier viewing of the visit dates.
X-Ray Assist – Changes have been made to the X-Ray Assist area to allow the erase entire screen option to function here. Setup can be completed by going to Administration > System Configuration > Defaults > Global 3 and check the Enable erase screen option. Then while in the X-Ray Assist area use the button with the lightening blot on it to erase all contents on the screen.
Current Patients – Changes have been made to the Current Patient’s screen so that it no longer has to be closed and re-opened for changes to update. Changes will update automatically now. You will also have the ability to filter the checked-in patient list and the patients with incomplete notes list to just show one provider or another.
Neuro Reflexes – You now have the ability to indicate plus and minus to the values you place on the neuro reflexes screen.
Touch Screen Options – You have additional options that are optimal with the use of touch screens. Navigating to Help > Update Configuration will allow you to check the Use Number Box to enter Vitals, ROM, etc. Instead of having to type out information or bringing up the onscreen keyboard, ChiroWrite will prompt you for the information so you can directly enter it in the system.
Signature Report – Functionality has been added to allow a report of all the patient’s signatures to be printed for a given time range. Users must be using the Topaz Signature pad to capture the patient’s signature for this report to function correctly. This report can be run for all patients during a given time period by navigating to Office Activities > Print Signatures and it can be printed for a single patient during a given time period by navigating to Patient Activities > Print Signatures.
Check-In Report – You now have the ability to run a report of all the patients’ check-ins for a given date range. This can only run this report if you are checking patients into ChiroWrite using the ChiroWrite scheduler or the ChiroWrite check-in module.
